Baked Crabmeat Casserole


1 teaspoon reduced-calorie margarine
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
3/4 pound crabmeat, picked over for shells
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 large egg whites
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese


  • Preheat the kitchen appliance to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x9 baking dish.
  • Melt the oleomargarine in an exceedingly pan over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring ofttimes, till the onion is soft.
  • Place the onion and oleomargarine in an exceedingly bowl. Stir within the crab, mustard, and condiment.
  • Place the egg whites in an exceedingly clean bowl. Beat on high speed with an electrical mixer till the egg whites type soft peaks. Fold the egg whites into the crab mixture then transfer the mixture to the ready baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the highest of the casserole with the Parmesan. Place the casserole within the kitchen appliance and bake at 350 degrees F for twenty five minutes or till puffy and golden brown.
  • Remove the casserole from the kitchen appliance and let cool for five minutes then take squares to serve. Serve hot.
